Industrial gelatin is a product of partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from animal skin, bone, and hoof-knot tissue. It appears as light yellow or brown particles with no unpleasant odor and no visible impurities. Due to its unique physical and chemical properties, industrial gelatin finds wide applications in various fields.

Firstly, industrial gelatin can be used to produce adhesives for plates, furniture, emery cloth, sandpaper, etc. Additionally, it forms a protective layer on textiles to increase the strength and elasticity of the fiber. When used as an additive in paper production, it improves the quality and strength of the paper.

Secondly, its foaming properties make it suitable for creating pores in match heads and producing certain edible or biodegradable packaging materials. Furthermore, it serves as a thickener or stabilizer to enhance coating performance.

Finally, industrial gelatin is not only utilized in traditional printing plate production but also serves as an adhesive or polish. In daily necessities such as shampoo and soap products, it acts as a stabilizer or thickener.

The application of industrial gelatin spans across almost every field of the national economy; however,it should be noted that industrial gelatin is not suitable for use in food and pharmaceutical industries. In industrial applications where specific quality standards are required to ensure safety and functionality, industrial gelatin must meet these standards accordingly.
